Serbia World Music Festival in Gornji Milanovac has been held since 2009 and aims, in addition to a series of Ethno music concerts at a high artistic level, to unite musicians and people from different countries regardless of cultural and religious background.
By presenting bands from several countries, the audience has the opportunity to enjoy a mixture of different types of music, primarily Romani, as well as the sounds of unavoidable Balkan music, but in this case in a completely new light. The program is completed with concerts by special guests of the festival.
The municipality of Gornji Milanovac is an ideal place to hold this festival, both because of the history and culture of the region, and from the aspect of tourism that we want to present to guests and the world.
Natural Mystic festival
Ždreban Hill, above Gornji Milanovac
Natural Mystic music festival has been held since 2014. Mission of the festival is gathering and socialization of young people through the Afro-Reggae music which is exclusively based on the principles of love and peace and which advocates a serious and caring attitude towards nature in which we live, restoring human nature and the strengthening of its basic needs for the preservation of the environment in which he live. Festival is located on Zdreban hill, with beautiful landscapes, clean air, clean water sources, numerous viewpoints and above all a healthy environment with a diverse flora and fauna.
The International Biennial of Miniature Arts
The Gornji Milanovac Biennial was founded in 1989. by the Arts and Applied Arts Union. The idea to organize manifestation came from a painter Milan Miletic, who took part on the same exhibition in Toronto in Canada. In co-operation with the former president of Arts and Applied Arts Union Naebojsa Savovic – Nes and the members of Union the event was launched under the name The First Biennial of Yugoslav Miniature Art. The exhibition was presented at Zavicajni Museum in Gornji Milanovac from 9 December 1989 – 9 January 1990, with more than 300 Yugoslavian artist taking part.
From the very beginning Biennial involved all areas of artistic and applied creativity making the event unique in the world. On one exhibition you were able to see the artistic miniatures of Yugoslav and world artists at the highest international level.
Biennial became an international event on the fourth exhibition in 1996. and had been taken over by the Museum of Rudnik-Takovo region, Institutions of culture, Art and Out-school Education. Cultural Centre in Gornji Milanovac has been organizing Biennial since 1998.
More than 5000 authors, from 40 countries took part in this event. Due to the significance of manifestation the Ministry of Culture has joined the realization of Biennial since 2003.

Princess Ljubica Days
Manifestation dedicated to princess Ljubica has been held in Vracevsnica since June 2007. The Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Gornji Milanovac, local Community of Vracevsnica and folk singing group “Crnucanka” are organizers of the event.
The patron is Municipality of Gornji Milanovac, and co organizers: the Elementary school “Desanka Maksimovic”, Cultural Centre, Museum of Rudnik-Takovo region and Monastery of Vracevsnica.
Manifestation celebrates the first princess of renewed Serbia Ljubica Obrenovic , traditional values of region and remembers the Second Uprising period when the family of knez Milos Obrenovic had lived in Konak (the residence) near the Monastery of Vracevsnica.

Savinac Days - Mina Vukomanovic Karadzic Art Colony
The traditional manifestation “Savinacki dani” (Savinac days) is held in Savinac, Gornji Milanovac across the beautiful Church of Saint Sava, burial place of Mina Vukomanovic, the daughter of Vuk Karadzic, a reformer of Serbian language. The program content involves a competitive “hunter’s” stew cooking, the last day of event celebrating Mina Vukomanovic for more than 20 years.

Silopajska panorama
The manifestation “Silopajska panorama” (Silopaj viewpoint) whose actuator is the Union of citizens with the same name is held in the middle of July in the village Silopaj. The event is organized by: the “Silopaj panorama” Union, Local Community of Silopaj, Hunting Associations, Cultural Centre, Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Gornji Milanovac and Church district of Silopaj. The patron of event is the Municipality of Gornji Milanovac. The folklore society, singers and folk singing groups take part in the event.

Assembly of violinists of Serbia
In order to preserve the music of our climate and ancient, unforgettable notes, in August 2019, the First Assembly of Serbian Violinists was organized in Pranjani, a small town on the slopes of Suvobor. Proven violin masters gathered at the Assembly, as well as gifted children who have just started following the paths of recognized violin virtuosos. With the sounds of the anthem “Silk Thread” and the raising of the parliamentary flag in the center of the town, the First Assembly of Violinists of Serbia was opened. On the stage set up at the Pranja stadium, on the first day, young violinists up to the age of 14 crossed bows in the battle for the title of “Best Young Violinist in Serbia”.
The main competition brought together the 14 best violinists who passed the preliminary competitions. The fact that men and women compete equally in Pranjani, virtuosos coming from: London, Vienna, Obrenovac, Valjevo, Mionica, Pyroman, Negotin, Aranđelovac, Ivanjica, Gornji Milanovac, Šabac and Subotica shows that a great battle of violin masters is coming. The golden violin at the First Assembly of Violinists in the competition for younger categories went to Boban Vasić, a young Pyromaniac, who masterfully played the song “Da zna zora”, and then “Šiletovo kolo”. Ognjen Janjić from the village of Duboka, near Kučevo, delighted the jury with his performance of “Stara Vlajna”, and he won the award for the best performed round, while ten-year-old Adrijan Mašić, who came to Pranjane from Vienna, won the award for the best performed song. “My happiness, my gold”. On the second day of the Assembly, the expert jury, after serious consideration, decided that the First Violin of Serbia should go to Momir Jovanović from Novi Sad. The president of the municipality of Gornji Milanovac, Dejan Kovačević, presented the winner’s cup to the winner, while Dušan Kostić handed over the keys to the Škoda Fabia, in front of the “AutoČačak” company.
The first Assembly of Serbian violinists exceeded all expectations, and one thing is certain – the violin got its capital.
Vece pod grmom
The review “Vece pod grmom” (Eve under the tree) is traditionally held on 9. August in Takovo, near the oak tree, on the plateau where The Second Serbian Uprising was risen by the prince Milos Obrenovic in 1815.
The folklore society and folk singing groups take part in the event.

Motorcycling in Milanovac
The Motorcycle club “Lonely riders” from Gornji Milanovac every August organizes event that gathers a few hundred bikers from the State and Region. Motorcycle touring rally offers mini-tour, parade called “Motorcycle endless games” and plenty of noise. The Motorcycle Rallies is friendly event that includes defile on the streets and a rock concert.

Days of Mija Aleksic
With his famous acting career, Mija Aleksiv entrusted his homeland to repay him in an adequate way and to constantly renew his memory through the event, and at the same time to pass on to future generations that incredible spirit of life and acting that accompanied him and that is rooted in the Serbian cultural heritage people.
The event takes place at the end of September. During all seven days, there are numerous performances, film screenings, photo exhibitions, as well as workshops on the topic of animated films, acting studios, as well as lectures on the history of Serbian film, film criticism, production, etc.
The International short film Festival “Short form”
The Gornji Milanovac Short Film Festival is an event holding every second year in Gornji Milanovac, in organization of Cultural Centre in Gornji Milanovac. Showcasing the best of short filmmaking from Serbia and around the world, the Gornji Milanovac Short Film Festival discovers and celebrates talented and young filmmakers.

Dani Nastasijevica
The Manifestation “Dani Nastasijevica” (Nastasijevic Days) in Gornji Milanovac holding every fall since 2010 celebrates the famous artistic family Nastasijevic from Gornji Milanovac. The event is organized by the “Braca Nastasijevic” Library in co operation with other cultural institutions in Gornji Milanovac.
