On the southern foothills of Suvobor Mountain
The village of Kostunici is situated on the southern foothills of Suvobor Mountain in the catchment area of four watercourses and it is characterized by exceptional ecological and landscape value.
The Museum of Zivojin Misic is a histrorical museum dedicated to general Zivojin Misic and the Kolubara battle. The museum houses a great collection of arms, weapon and exhibits from the World War I as well as the relief representation of a Battle of Kolubara.
RAVNA GORA
Picturesque highland of Suvobor Mountain
Ravna Gora is a picturesque highland of Suvobor Mountain with outstanding sites such as the viewpoint “Babina glava”. The natural rarities of Ravna Gora are Suva and Mokra pecina (Dry and Wet cave), and the springs of three small rivers that run through the neighboring villages. Mokra pecina (the Wet cave) 340m long, represents a natural geological site from which crystal clear water of the Grab river springs. In the central part of the village there are the memorial to general Draza Mihailovic and the Church of Saint George.
The Church of Saint George dedicated to Saint George, a protector of warriors, professions and organizations was completed in 1995.
SAVINAC
Legend says once upon a time, Saint Sava passed through there
Savinac is a small village located four kilometers from Takovo. It got its name from the legend that says that once upon a time, Saint Sava passed through there, and that even today you can see the imprint of his horse’s hoof in the stone. Here, Prince Miloš Obrenović built his first endowment, a church in memory of his wife Princess Ljubica, which houses the relics of Mina Vukomanović, daughter of Vuk Karadžić. On Savinac, there are two sources of mineral water in the bed of the river Dičina, Svetinja and Mlačac. Wooded slopes, healing waters and the proximity of Takov have contributed to this village becoming one of the most visited picnic spots.
